Capturing Images - Part 3: Graphics Tablets

Another really fun and interesting way to generate content for a website or other interactive media product is to use a graphics tablet.

Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet (these are the ones we have in the Audio Visual Library).

Graphics tablets can be used with a range of applications, including Photoshop, to draw and manipulate images.

For this task, you will be either freehand drawing or tracing the image that you printed for Part 2.

Step 1:
Open Photoshop and start a set up a new A4 document called 'Capturing Images - Part 3: Graphics Tablets'

Step 2:
Open the image you saved and printed for Part 2.

Step 3:
Either,
a. drag the image onto the new document and alter the transparency to 25% and start sketching over the top
or
b. freehand draw the image onto the new document

Step 4:
Colour in / shade in your digital drawing

Step 5:
Once completed, save your document as a JPEG or PNG and upload to your blog with the title 'Capturing Images - Part 3: Graphics Tablets'.
