Bitmap and vector graphics

Across all media platforms and throughout all interactive media products, you will find various image file types that all have a specific function and which exist for a different purpose. These file and graphics types include JPEGs, PNGs, SVGs & XMLs and can be split into two main categories, bitmap graphics and vector graphics. Today we will be looking at the differences between these formats and the functions of each.
